More drawings from life drawing class. Via vine charcoal and conte crayon on 19x24in drawing paper.

I really like applying toned ground via vine charcoal and finishing it with conte :D

“Anxious” via oil on canvas.

I don’t think I’m actually finished with this yet. Then again, that’s how I feel about most of my paintings :o

Both my self portrait paintings are now up in the display case, next to the school’s art gallery entrance, while my non-representational paintings are now inside the gallery itself. Speaking of the gallery, it’s now open. More pics of the gallery show opening and the gallery soon. ;)

More drawings from life drawing class a few weeks ago. Via charcoal pencil on 19x24in” drawing paper. From a different model.

“Self portrait with paintings”, via oil paint on canvas. I forgot the dimensions of the canvas, but it’s the biggest canvas I’ve painted on thus far.Not an exact representation of me, but I was inspired by a lot of artists, particularly by Hans Holbein the Younger’s painting of Henry VIII. I also did not use black nor white for this painting, relying on the lightest yellow I have as my “white”.To be honest, I’m not even sure if I’m finished painting the piece… then again, that’s how I feel for ALL my paintings.

Anxious self portrait via graphite pencil on my 8.5x11” paper. I was really anxious and worried (with a hint of paranoia) at the time, so I decided to draw myself from the mirror to kinda cheer myself up lol.

Expressions and head angle self study from a mirror via graphite pencil on 8.5x11in” paper. I tried to hold those faces while looking at the mirror lol XD :D O.O

A couple of quick sketches of a friend in school, both while she was doing schoolwork :P Via graphite pencil on my 5.5x8.5in” sketch paper.

Self portrait via colored pencil on my 5.5x8.5in sketch paper. I don’t really use colored pencils that much, but I wanted to give them a chance ever since I tried out some Prismacolors. They felt a lot nicer to use than the colored pencils I used to have :D

Both are female French artists from the Rococo and Neoclassicism period. I really like these self portrait they painted, and was compelled to make a study sketch of them :P
